Were any of you paying attention? Lightning Dust was half a second slower on the Dizzytron, but Dash was on the slowest setting, and LD at the highest setting. She also took a moment to stare down at the landing strip with a smug look of satisfaction before flying back down.
 
If she had it set to the slowest level, she probably would have matched or beat RD’s score.

But….Rainbow was the better flying in nearly every aspect. LD got lead, because she showed much more ambition than Rainbow Dash, even though Rainbow Dash was slightly better in every way.

I did like that there was no “Am I good enough for this? Am I ready?” stuff that everyone was expecting. Within seconds it establishes that Dash is the best flier there and that the others aren’t even close.

Just a little inconsistency to what we saw
 
Best fliers:  
-Wonderbolts  
-Rainbow Dash  
-Lightning Dust  
-rest of the morons
 
At first I thought this episode is gonna play it that way as we read from the episode desctiption so Dusk will be a better flyer but I think they abandonded that idea.
