It is generally agreed, however, that by the time of Season 8 Episode 12: See You Later Allicorn*, toy-based story directives issued by the Hasbro Marketing Department had become so bizarre and incomprehensible as to render the show unwatchable. While few historians would say that the multimedia extravaganza surrounding the premiere of Season 9 was solely responsible for the brief but horrific war with Canada, it certainly contributed to the atmosphere of hatred and intolerance which sparked the terrible conflict.
