Be fair, its not like the animators on the show couldn’t make smoother, higher-quality animation, but they have to make the whole show from scratch and quite a few of them within one development cycle. They don’t have time to do their absolute best with every shot, so the style is softened up a bit to make it manageable.

The framerate is reduced a bit, per the blog, but I think she moves much more naturally. Way more alive, far less “stiff” looking. I like this.
 
I really can’t wait to see this completed. :D

I’m gonna make more of these comparison gifs after the film comes out.
 
It’s pretty easy to see that something like >>204652 will need improvement in order to live up to the standard that’s been set in this gif.
