I dunno about some kids, but I was never very big on sweets like candy and cake. It’s not that I hated it exactly, but I’m usually done after a couple bites, even today.

So maybe I’ve always been a boring “adult”. Would explain a few things.

Oh no, almost the first thing I thought was, “I hope they don’t eat too much and make themselves sick”. Augh, when did I turn into a boring adult? What is happening to meeeee

What I could say is, “Oh good, you can eat lots and lots of that and then when you get sick your vomit will be technicolored!!” That’s more like it - revolting but effective.
