Between learning a new word, and the writing being in cursive, this is one of the harder translations for me.

“Хей! Спраут! Долго дуться будешь?”

The final sentence, “dolgo dut’sya budesh’” does not translate well into English. It literally means “longtime to sulk you will”, but poised as a question. This is one of those cases where something is borderline nonsensical in English, but makes perfect sense in the original Russian.

Dut’sya here really translates out poorly. I went with a less literal translation to be more matches with the original English characterization of Sunny Starscout, and made her be a bit teasing and flirtatious rather than accusatory or even chiding like could be implied from the original.

When TYT still had like less then 20 episodes is when i got into it and at the time, the wiki said Sunny’s full name was “Sunny “Sophia” Starscout” and i kinda default to ‘Sophia’ as her ‘real’ first name sometimes, regardless if it’s true or not which tbf, i don’t think even in the comics there’s a single instance of it so idk where the name would’ve come from outside of interviews i’ve not seen.
