I don’t know if I can call that a good catch, but Aku was who I thought of when I did the shadowy figure, not Sombra. (except that Aku was a solid being with no gradienty effects in the Flash animation)

Generally, at least in ‘Merica, you refer to someone else you’re referencing either as their username or last name, as first names can be uninteresting and common so people might think I’m talking about this Julian, while everyone’s probably going to know Yeo is the Julian Yeo.
 
Generally, you only refer to someone by first name if you know the discussion is about them (and arguments on your pictures tend to be about the concepts in them and not the artist’s intent) and you’re such good pals you could probably call them and ask them to do the arguing for you. Then again, we’re both mutually following the other on tumblr, and I guess on the Internet that means we’re practically Best BFF Friends Forever. Alright, I can call you Juilan now, J-Yizzle.

I didn’t like Flash too much in the beginning (as compared to Shining Armor whom I loved instantly), but as written in my tumblr post pointed out by Poptard, I didn’t sit there and gripe. I built his non-existent, non-canonical character while shutting my ears from all the unconstructive comments against Flash and shipped the hell out of it. I’ve turned many heads in doing this and I’m very proud of that.
 
If you don’t like him, fine. But don’t be all hate on him and get people to hate on him just because he’s undeveloped and stealing your precious wife horse.
 
(I know it’s not meant to offend in anyway but my name is Julian. Calling me by the surname Yeo is very unnerving for me.)

Also in case you’re wondering Discoberry is for Cherry Berry not Berry Punch. I like to mix somewhat at-odds personality types. Cherry is always so sour when we see her, what better challenge for the spirit of chaos than a frumpy humourless pony?

That’s nowhere near the insanest shipping idea I’ve heard. Chrysalis is captured and placed into rehabilitation, and Flash is the guard assigned to oversee her. Flash (well, the human version at least) is shown to be accepting of people with weird origins and is willing to let bygones be bygones, while Chrysalis goes the classic “misunderstood villain” route and comes to like her guardsman who isn’t put off by her nature and appearance.
 
Honestly, the weirdest I’ve seen is Celestia x Tank, which got even weirder when it came to the sex scenes.

I don’t know anime largely, but if I ever saw something horrible happening to Flash, it’d probably be something like Adam Jensen.

Yeo never had a problem apparently.
 
Sidebar: Does anypony else see Saiyan Saga Piccolo here? If Other World is on the same plane of existence in the show I’d pay extra to see that happen to Flash. Nothin’ like a martyr to make even more noise. ;D

Although in my opinion, I seem to notice a changing trend toawrds that. Looking back on old Flash Sentry pictures, comments from 1 year ago had nothing but hate except for a few, quiet comments mentioning how he’s not that bad. Recent Flash pictures, and you see a lot more people defending his existence, completely unlike how it was before. I’m not sure if it’s good works like Julian Yeo making Flash bearable, numbness at continued exposure, people actually calming down, or a combination of all three, but Flash hate demographics seem to have shifted.
