Tamers12345 just dropped his new Sonic Underground X My Little Pony crossover movie.
Gave it a watch and it’s not half bad, shame that he’s pretty obscure.. but supposedly he’s been doing these animations for a solid 10 years.

He’s referring to this article claiming the show is the worst performing series on Disney +. Which I find hard to believe. I’ve seen many channels on YT live-reacting to the series with mostly positive acclaim and a minority nitpicking minor stuff.

Velma is an anomaly that already was locked in for 2 seasons and a Halloween special.

Xmen 97 is actully peak animation down to it’s fucking bone morrow.

Animation is expensive and time-consuming, so they always orders a few seasons in advance. After that, it usually just disappears and most that praised it forget about it. I recall that being the thing for a lot of shows. I’m sure people are watching the show. They just aren’t watching it on Disney+. Like a lot of the people saying it’s great.

And, from everything I’ve seen; it’s a lot of Member berries and “Hey! remember this!?” The good ole’ key jangle when you look further has a lot of plot holes and contrivances. Then again; a lot of people might enjoy mass genocide. If Steven Universe has taught me anything. Which it hasn’t.

I gave the video a glance, but from what I saw, it’s not my cup of tea. I’m not a fan of the art/animation or the voices. Also, we talk about western indie projects here too. The Amazing Digital Circus for one…

Someone in a reddit thread pointed out Nielsen measures by minutes watched, and not by views. Because ‘97 has episodes that are 30 minutes long, it’s at a disadvantage because it needs twice the views to equal that of an hour show.

So I watched the red vs blue finally (for this time ending) and…i’m kinda feeling alotta things cuz this is it…the last rt anything…and I know company was ass but man it’s still kinda fucked seeing it all it’s animations go like this. 20+ years of independent animation gone with so little fan fair…it sucks.
