The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@Flashiest Lightning
That’s you? Sorry, I didn’t get that from the first post.
Cool…the SV is a great choice. Back in ‘99 (first year of production for the SV650) my dealer loaned me one for a whole weekend while my TL1000R was in for recall service. It really impressed me; had I ridden it before I bought the TL I might have bought an SV instead…and that was the first-gen carburetted one, your fuel injected one should be even better.

As for the “chicken strips”, unless you’re doing racetrack days you never fully get rid of them…you’d have to be dragging your knee through turns and that’s just pushing too hard for the street. Trying to add more lean angle than you’re comfortable with because you feel “called out” by some twit on the internet is just asking for a low-side.
Sounds like you’re doing just fine. Enjoy and keep us posted on your adventures…I think there’s a few of us riders on the site.

Well went out riding and measured the strips they are sitting right at 1 inch which for a new rider like myself isn’t too bad I think?
However after feeling called out over this whole chicken strip thing I was cornering deeper this ride which was a lot of fun.

Every time I see a photo of the famous Scootarider I can’t help but wonder how wide the chicken strips are on his/her back tire.

(Only fellow riders will understand that.)
