Archanbault had all of their BD sold and only had one DVD left.  
Best Buy had two DVD left so I bought one because it had the French dub on it. Strangely, the BD have no french dub (Québécois here BTW).  
HMV had a dozen DVDs and one BD.
 
It depend on where you are. I have my DVD of EG and I’m glad. However, owning the BD is pointless so to have it in HD, I just torrented it. So, I have my French dub in the copy I bougt and the HD original as a download. That’s a compromise.

If something is ugely popular,it mean a LOT of people LOVE that thing. So, it must mean there’s something really great and awesome that reach a lot of people. In other word, it’s good and not shit.

It was bound to have lot of demand not only from those who like it or people who like everything if there is mlp on it but the old collectors aspect of the franchise along with collecting being a fandom tendency in general, even for me, still apply to a lot of people who want to have everything remotely important about fim, or at least every episode/movie, in their collection.

oh btw op, it said RETAILERS bought a hundered thousand copies. Meaning the stores are buying them so the consumers can buy the movie from them. and a 100,000 is kinda low expectations for how well they can sell them.

you realise that if vast majority went to the cinema to watch this even once spaced out over like a month that would add up to a lot of views, some people would have watched it more than once on top of that.
