Actually, this bird is a dead ringer for a blue gray tanager.
The irony is that the blue gray tanager is a Central American species that occasionally crosses the Mexican border into the Southwestern US.

Fair point. I can definitely see her acting more maturely if she was even able to tolerate Discord’s shenanigans.
Even moreso when you remember Celestia was the one who planned to have Discord reformed.

idunno, we don’t really know much about Cadance’s character besides she’s a really nice person. I don’t expect her to not view her with caution, but I can’t see her as the kind of person that would hold that much of a grudge.
I feel it would be OoC for her to completely rule out talking with Chrysalis at their first meeting since ACW.
I’m not sure I recall there being anything about a rescue involved with that changeling, but she certainly invited him if the information from Twitter is be believed. And children are children; their opinions on thing change by the week and sometimes by the day. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon used to be hated by the schoolhouse foals, now they’re part of the group the same ans anypony else.
I could see them still hating Chrysalis, but they might be willing to forgive the individual ’lings. Ponies forgave Discord, after all.
Considering Chrysalis warped the mind of her beloved husband, we’d be lucky if Cadence even has the strength and maturity to give Bug Mom another chance.
Heck, there’s still the matter of the (possible?) changeling we saw at the end of the season premiere…

That was different. Wasn’t Matilda the one who rescued that particular changeling? Plus, the children didn’t like the poor thing.
I always thought Cadance would have the heart to give even Chrysalis a fair shake, and not hold a grudge against the rank-and-file changelings at all. Dunno about Shining Armor, though.
True, but they don’t seem to mind changelings as a whole. They didn’t bat an eye at the one attending Cranky and Matilda’s wedding.
You’d think the ponies would actually make a better peace offering in the form of an infinite love dispenser a la the Crystal Heart.
Better yet, move the changelings to the Crystal Empire and see how that goes.
…Then again, Cadence and Shining Armor live there, and they’ll probably hate Chryssy’s guts…
You know, on the spectrum of ways to deal with changeling-pony relations, that’s actually kinda on the moderate side…
