Yea, Mei is one of the noobfriendly characters in Overwatch. And in the hands of an expert she can be a serious thorn in the opposing team’s side.

It’s a wonder that I haven’t encountered W+M1 jokes about her - maybe because of her abilities, alt-fire, and her well-deserved status as 3-star (= difficult to play as) hero - but she can be very useful against certain heroes (like Genji and Tracer), especially with heroes on your team who has area-damage ultimates (like Reaper).
 
Avoid McCree while playing as her, though: he can make a sieve out of her real quick if he gets his chance.

So what I’m getting from this is Mei is so powerful that even a total scrub like me (FPS’s aren’t really my strongpoint; I’m more of a TBS and RPG guy) could use her and win.

Mercy regens her health over time as well, same with Lucio, I believe.  
And I was saying that he’s very easy to kill.

Yeah, I always loved playing Demoman. And yeah, you can sticky jump without the blast damage basically.  
Zenyatta’s really fun, yeah, except that he’s basically a glass cannon, powerful, but very weak to everything, he doesn’t even have a shield or anything. So I generally prefer Mercy or Lucio for support.

Yeeeah, Junkrat is fun as heck, particularly with his traps. Reminds me of playing demo-man with the sticky jumper, you are super mobile if you jump around with his bomb.  
My fav is Zenyatta though. You can heal from across the map, and you do massive damage if you can aim headshots.

I suck at Widowmaker. Also, Regardles of how OP Mei is, I find her kind of boring to play as, whereas a hero like Junkrat, I absolutely love playing him offensively or defensively.

I had issues played as Mei too. Until I learned to place walls and remember to use the ice block.  
After that you’re a one-man team.

The point with her secondary fire headshot is that she stuns people, then she doesn’t have to know how to aim, since she’s basically shooting at statues. As soon as Mei is in range to start icing you, you’re basically dead if you’re not a tank or someone with an escape ability. And you can’t reliably kill her before she reaches you since she has that heal + safe state.
 
Fast heroes are not so good against her since she slows then stuns them. Mei is a counter to Genji actually, since he’ll get frozen real quick for being a melee champ. Tracer will be vulnerable as soon as she gets slowed. Reinhardt can’t do anything because as soon as he drops the shield he’s gonna be frozen. Only way is to successfully charge her, but since she has that invulnerability she can just ignore it. Same for Roadhog: even if you hook her, she can still go into her ice form before he can finish her. She’s good even in open areas since her secondary shot does lots of damage and her ice wall permits her to get closer safely.
 
As for the heal, yeah, soldier and road can heal too, but they don’t get an invulnerability state for 5 seconds either. With that Mei can just sit on a capture point and enemy can’t do nothing. As I said, annoying.

Well, I’ll give you credit that her ice wall and freeze beam are pretty OP, but as for her self heal, she’s not the only hero with that, and Hanzo can also headshot people, but, you know, you need to be good at aiming for both  
Also, she sucks ass when surrounded by multiple people against her, especially in the open, seeing as she’s slow, so Widowmaker is probably her best counter, along with fast heroes like Tracer and Genji, and Reinhardt can _shred her, also Roadhog.  
So, I wouldn’t say she’s the most annoying, only in closed areas or if you happen to get caught by her without any support from your teammates, which I find doesn’t happen often.  
Regardless, as a character she’s pretty sweet.

Everything about her is annoying. Everything.  
I’m not necessarily talking about being OP, I’m talking about just being the most aggravating character in the game. Primary fire that instantly slows then stuns after a short time. Secondary fire that will kill anyone (short of a full life tank) since she can headshot the people frozen easily. Ice wall that give her the best area denial/control, same for her ult. And to top it off she has an invulnerability icicle that HEALS her.
 
She sucks the fun out of games.

So like, why do people hate Mei again?
