There’s two memes at play here, I think:
 
“I need an adult” is when something happens to or in the presence of a kid an they feel that they need an adult to take care of matters for them.
 
“I need an adult; I AM an adult” is when the same situation happens to an adult and they have the same reaction…then remember that they ARE an adult.
 
For instance I sometimes still think “Help, I need an adult!” even though I’m 34. Because sometimes even adults don’t know everything about how to adult. xD

People don’t even know when to use memes. This phrase can be only used by kid characters so it doesn’t make sense when Dash is saying it.

I’ve always thought that, even though they went to flight school together, Rainbow Dash is a lot younger than Fluttershy. Fluttershy was a terrible flier and was probably held back a year or two, while RD was a foal prodigy when it came to flying and was probably bumped up ahead in class.

Stallionbabies don’t count.

It was stated that he was her younger brother just not how much younger. And if you are talking about Rainbow Dash than younger in my opinion. Same problem as with her brother

i don’t know. I imagine him as 18 years old, technically he would be adult but…
