Weren’t you around when Cadance was revealed? I think she and now Twilicorn just clashed with both the fandom’s collective headcanon and Faust’s word that the only alicorns were Celestia and Luna. EqD said that Twilicorn was either a mistake or a graphic artist trolling, but not with 100% certainty. Twilicorn has also revived the old accusation of Twilight being an overpowered Mary Sue.
