Stuff inspired by HPL, but nothing direct, except Reanimator, which is based on one of his lesser stories (and which seems intended as a parody of pulp horror anyway)
Has there ever been an “adaptation” of an HPL movie that didn’t end up as crap?
I mean, aside from Dagon and those two films by the HPL Historical Society, The Call of Cthulhu and The Whisperer in Darkness.
Indeed, that’s what I plan to do. I think Ech Pi’El will always be better as an inspiration than an actual literal source for films, etc..
Ya, if one really gets interested in this idea, they need to check out the graphic novel this is adapted from, and it has sequels.
Also the tagline “things are about to get R’lyeh crazy” makes me wish the old ones would come and cleanse the Earth.
