G1 Tirek had only a sack of the Rainbow of darkness, G4 can stole the magic without anything, this is his own power.

Only when he stole all that unicorn magic. G1 Tirac on the other had, iirc, his own magic, as well as the Rainbow of Darkness whose origins are unknown. :)
Actually G4 Tirek is much more powerful than G1, and also way bigger.
