Description
I made some art for my wall plates, it originally started when I saw this picture and I wanted to recreate it with Tenar. Then Railphotos gave me the idea that I should somehow make a female version, and after a bit of trial and error, I came up with the Google Chrome outlet cover.
So I bet you all are thinking “holy crap, I want one!”. Well I’m going to make this into a YCH! For $10, I will put your OC into either of these drawings. Just email me the references at 10art1pony@derpymail.org or through skype/discord if you have me added. For an extra $5 I’ll print, laminate, and cut it out for you, and if you’re going to any conventions I’m going to, I’ll give it to you there free of shipping.
Any race is acceptable, minor accessories are ok, as long as the pose isn’t changed.

You don’t press down the center on a light switch; you put some pressure on the top or bottom half. But you are right about siding across the whole plate to switch the nob.
And you’re right about the second statement too. Europe is more into electric safety; safer wall sockets, safer light switches. – Less prone to fire; less prone to electrocution.
With your description of how to easier operate the nob; I guess both are about the same. For the big button; place hand on it, apply pressure either up or down. The raised side is the side you can press down on.
It wasn’t my intention to call you an idiot I assure you. It’s just that the only way I can imagine a larger input device being simpler/easier to operate is if you’re missing the input; however with a switch you can simply cover your bases by sliding your hand/foot/cat upwards or downwards across the entire plate and you will hit the thing. Meanwhile that doesn’t nessarily work for a button as you still have to find the center to press down.
If anything the full switch seems easier to me, unless you’re aiming for light-switch trick-shots. The only real benefit I can see of the more button design for the switch is that it would be more difficult to set it into a half-on/half-off position and is therefore safer as far as the wiring is concerned. That’s about it.
If anyone’s the idiot here, it’s me. I legitimatley can’t understand how a big button/switch thing is easier to operate than a more standard, if smaller switch. I doubt I can be very bright if I can’t even understand how different light-switches work.
It’s not hard to do it … but harder than a large button. You still have the huge plate around the nob, so a huge button doesn’t take more space.

I’m trying to imagine the life of someone who has genuine difficulty flipping a switch on a wall and I really can’t.
I’m sorry, but your comment made me lose just a little bit of faith in humanity when I was sure I didn’t have any left.
That’s the most common type I’ve seen in most of Europe. Seems much nicer than a little nob; and easier as you can just press on it.
