Also what are the black beans meant to mimic? It looks like she wants just a hay burger with lettuce and tomatoes.
It’s a type of veggie burger, while the shredded hash is an alternative for hay.

It kind of makes sense, with the right toppings I bet you’d get mostly the same flavor as you would with beef anyway.

funny this discussion comes up now, I just heard on the radio the other day about burgers with fries instead of a patty.
That does sound good. I’ll definitely have to try that sometime.
I’ve never had one with fries instead of a patty, but I’ve had one with a layer of fries as thick as the patty and it was great.
