Description
Ant ponies. Small, simple-minded, goal-oriented, and powerful. Very easy to entice and get hard work out of, but making them angry, threatening their hive, or having them learn you were taking unfair advantage of their simple nature would be a massive mistake.

How about a ant farm for the guy if there alternative turn him into a giant ant pony that size of your height
@Parallel Black
I will eventually. There’s many queens, one for every colony :D
Agreed, the ant pony queen needs to show up late to the party that all those other royals attended.
please draw her
Their queen is big like Celestia where the rest look like teenage ponies, while their larva look like changeling larva. They live in burrows, but with some amenities from ponies like lights, furniture, etc :D
Edited because: I apparently never commented on this image before.
No, they got males of their own species for that. They’d just beat you up XD
wouldn’t know since i don’t like angering anyone, that,and with you i don’t think my answer would match up, i’d have to say they end up using a pony as a breeding stud/mare for the colony
What happens when you make any really strong person who has a ton of really strong friends who will jump to his/her defense angry?
actually no they wouldn’t, if you’ve ever watch “the most extreme” when they brought up insect strength and applied it to humans, the humans would get super human abilities
If they could they would actually still be much weaker than a human. The strenght you have relative to your weight is affected by your size. The smaller your size the greater your relative strength. Insects are only that strong because they are small and their biology wouldn’t give them any strength if they were big. They wouldn’t even be able to stand on their own legs.
Edited
“forest-ants” that is
so i assume ants are generally really strong. for an insect of that size
a human sized ant though would probably not get enough oxygen to survive but if it could?
ooooh boi
ants are great
so are bees
they always come in hives and have their little societys
“Release Big Red!”
Giant bulky ant pony
@Dirty Bit
They have some modern amenities. As a species they’re on fairly good terms with regular ponies, willing to use their strength and numbers in exchange for foods, medicines, etc that they are incapable of producing on their own.
@Malabazoo
Lol he’s injured XD

They don’t have super strength or anything, but are just very strong for their size. She’s the size of a teenage pony but able to not just effortlessly carry Mac, but trot while she’s doing it. Ponies can be stronger than them, but these little guys are just born naturally with bodybuilder-level strength despite their small statures.
@Background Pony #67B1
@Dirty Bit
Getting a ride from a creature who can carry him effortlessly in exchange for a highly-valued food product they can’t produce on their own ain’t a ruse. That’s a fair deal :D
@sectoid
:D
@Heterodyne
They work like an ant colony in the sense that they have female queens and male drones. The workers are technically genderless (yes I know ant workers are sterile females :D) but can look male or female and refer to themselves as such :D
@Blissey1
@Dirty Bit
These little guys are childish since they are single-mindedly driven to just maintain their colony, but they’re not exactly stupid. On the other hand, so long as they’re happy with what they’re getting they don’t care if they’re being technically “swindled” or not.
However, they won’t stay away from the hive for long so you can’t get reliable or long-term work out of them. You could get one to plow fields for an hour or so in exchange for some goodies, but you’d never get an outright “slave” out of one.
And god help you if the hive finds out you’re holding one against it’s will…
That’s true. They really went Oncler on Equestria that time…
On the other hand, they probably would be comparable with trained Earth Ponies.
Which makes them quite strong by Unicorn standards.
But mostly, I’d expect their real strength to be ‘unity’; It’s not that any given ant-pony is all that great, but they all work together for the good of the nest - while ponies bicker and fight, each having their own personal values and goals they want to work towards.
If the ant-ponies decide your house is in the way, you have a small army (or maybe not so small) charging at your house - If the Apples decided the same, you’d ‘merely’ have two exceptional Earth Ponies plus their kid sister and their elderly grandmother. It’s unlikely they’d be able to bring the rest of ponyville on attack.
Naw man, don’t you remember the alt universe ending with flim and flam from the cutie remark? They are 100% willing to exploit nature for thier benefit
They’d probably reward the ant with disproportionate compensation. Such is their practice.
They may be practiced swindlers, but I don’t think they’d be that bad.
Edited
@Dirty Bit
Yeah, the Apple family aren’t the type to cheat someone.
Now, if flim and flam found one of these critters…
Wow. Thanks for the feels
@sectoid
Not a bad concept.
@Dazkid33
Considering he’s helping Big Mac, I doubt he’ll get swindled anytime soon.
