In fact I think that this also doesn’t apply to Twilight. she’s always worried that things will go weong, not that they’ll slip out of her control.
Celestia knew that she needed to send Twilight Sparkle away, but she put off the decision for years because she was afraid of losing her. That says “control freak” loud and clear to me.
Disagree. Celestia didn’t freak out at A dilemma. She freaked out at the possibility of messing up Twilight’s future. Also, I don’t think that Celestia is a control freak.

This episode taught us something very important about Princess Celestia: She and Twilight Sparkle are incredibly alike. Both are meticulous planners and control freaks, and both are prone to freaking out when faced with a dilemma. The difference is Celestia has had a thousand years or so to learn how to compose herself and not spazz out like Twilight does.
