I don’t think age is the problem here. the problem was that they weren’t thinking about what sugar belle likes. the problem was not that there has never been a couple falling in love by saving somepony from a raging dragon. who says fairy tales aren’t in the biography section in ponyland?
It’s a sign that the concept or execution is deeply flawed if it can be easily solved by something so normal.
