I mean in a series finale, the writers could make it so the characters are shown living their dreams. RD keeps flying with the Wonderbolts, Rarity’s business continues to be a success, AJ keeps farming apples, but when they get to Starlight, they show her living peacefully in the Crystal Empire practicing magic with Sunburst. Basically a well deserved happy ending to her character arc.
Only the books talks about them visiting each other. Which is a shame
