Do you know that politics kill Facebook engagement?

Politicians are shitty people, and there are shitty people everywhere of every demographic who all hold a wide variety of beliefs.

And you could make the argument today that white democrats up on capitol hill ready couldn’t care less about minorities other than to use them as voting blocs to stay in power, blaming republicans for issues they themselves don’t want to fix because they can use them to motivate their base into voting for them again.

I mean, Dems did manage to “flip the script” PR-wise back when the civil rights movement was running it’s course. But historically they’ve been shown to be the racists and white supremacists, former Senator Robert Byrd is probably the best example of this as he was a hold-over from before that shift.

There is a difference between law and ethics. Just because an action is legal does not make it ethical. No one was arguing the legality of CNN’s actions.

No, not even close. That’s a gross misrepresentation of what happened completely made up by the alt-right. What CNN did was they interviewed someone, as part of that interview he signed a contract to be interviewed, after signing he requested the interview be anonymous, they agreed, but as per the contract they had the right to publish his name, this was a standard term that could be found in the contract of pretty much every news agency’s interviews. Calling this blackmail is delusional on the same level as moon landing denial or 9/11 conspiracy theory.
