it was quite a mysterious circumstance when everypony failed the test, except for twilight sparkle and lyra who got a B. it may have had something to do with the crumpled up extra copy of the test found in the wastebasket, filled out in twilight’s hornwriting, with all the wrong answers on it.

I like the idea that her magic is reminiscent of an RPG Bard (I don’t remember where did I see that, probably some fanfic, but it kinda stuck), so there isn’t much she can cast without a little musical performance.
