Gray is more distinguished, I suppose.
She may share the same opinion. Because, for those who don’t remember, her current grey hair was confirmed to be dyed that way. And, that her hair is actually still pink. It was one of the embarrassing scoops in the episode, ‘Ponyville Confidential’.
She looks better with grey.
I honestly wouldn’t say Mrs. Cake is too much younger than Pear Butter. Maybe 3 years at most.
-The CMC’s body types are still smaller than Mrs. Cake’s, yet they have been claimed as “more grown up” 10 at the least 12 at the most
-Calculating the hours since Bright Mac first called Pear Butter “Buttercup,” that’s 15 years, although they did look like babies then, they could still speak sentences fairly fluently, so they’d at least be 2-3 (we saw 5 year old ponies in “For Whom Sweetie Belle Toils”
I think Mrs. Cake still had a smaller-than-adult body size during those scenes, so I’d put her about 5-10 years younger than Pear Butter, so probably around 35-40 now.
Mayor Mare could be late 30s to early 50s, but there’s nothing really to go by as she’s in adult in all the scenes so far. I’d lean toward the higher end of that range though, as I doubt that she became mayor before 30 years of age.
Edited
Well, Applejack and Big Mac must be in their mid twenties already, so, mid-to-late forties, with Mrs. Cake around the early 40s.
