Your point is…?
Y’know, most of the art on this site is from DA.

Well, to be fair the length of a show doesn’t reflect it’s quality, or a person’s personal tastes, or preference for it. The Simpsons are a great show, but recent seasons have been hit-or-miss many feel. (Still, comparing a family show with more adult animated sitcoms isn’t a very fair comparison, as some stated already.)
Case in point, “Teen Titans Go!” is over hundred episodes despite how hated it is by older TT fans.
Yeah, the really egotistical ones kinda bug me. I respect others’ opinions, and enjoy them sometimes, but when they get too up their own butt, or disrespect others’ opinions, it gets annoying.
I also hate reviews that basically just consist of things like, “I haven’t seen the newest TMNT movie, but I’m sure it’ll suck, and it’ll ruin my childhood, just because Michael Bay is producing it, (yet he has nothing else to do with the movie, but I didn’t bother to research that) and I always go with popular opinion, rather then have my own opinions, or explain why I hate things, and if you disagree, you’re wrong!”
Those are total spaghetti-fests.
Though to be honest I do like watching a review video. But it usually review video that majority of arguments being backed up by facts, and when they do present opinion the presenter/reviewer don’t act like it’s matter.
But review videos that just solely based on Opinion are something that I don’t like even irritating me, they act like their opinion matter. like what you mention.

@Pagan
Yeah, it’s like all those Youtuber nerds whenever they mention SW Episode 1, they have to needlessly put it down, and act like everyone has the same opinion as them.
I actually liked Episode 1 better when I was a kid, (I even had the Podracing N64 game) I found the original first movie (Episode IV) kinda boring honestly, and didn’t really like it ‘till I was a teenager. Doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with me, or I’m some kinda “hipster/contrarian.” Everyone just has different tastes.
Agreed, it’s very petty and pointless.
@Minus
You two are right on the spot, sometimes I just wonder can we just enjoy what we like? as long it does hurt anybody everyone should be free to enjoy it.
It’s really irritating me when someone say this thing is better than other or just trashing one particular thing over other especially on music and what the matter. Look I get it you don’t like Dubstep, Digital Art, MLP FiM and others, but can you leave us alone. Sure it’s fine you that you don’t like things. But calling it s*** and such is just asking for flame war.

I actually prefer classic South Park, but gotta agree with you on classic Simpsons.
oh, and don’t forget King of the Hill and Bob’s Burgers – those shows are amazing!
you’re pretty much spot-on about Equestria Girls: it’s nothing more than a blatant commercial mockery that doesn’t teach anything meaningful or practical. the only things from that series I find redeeming are the The Dazzlings, but even they aren’t enough to save this travesty from the crap it so rightfully deserves.
Oh I know. I’m not excusing it - hell, I was lie that myself once - But it does hopefully put.it into a little more context.
Dude. We’re bronies, just about all of us commenting here are asspies. Me included. Even if we say that’s the reason for Ian’s awful post here, it does not prevent him from learning to move past this mindset.
Old South Park, I can enjoy on a nostalgic level, never been a fan of gross out jokes and toilet humor. New South Park’s very topical and addresses a lot of issues we face today. It’s definitely matured.
Old Simpsons (before season 10) are timeless classics. New Simpsons at worst garbage tier, at best middle of the road but always a shadow of it’s former self.
MLP, well, if you’re talking about pre FIM and 80’s MLP, than no I’d rather watch Family Guy tbh. FIM…well, some episodes I’ve had to stop watching, either because they were so boring or too girly. And then there’s MLP Equestria Girls, which imo is just Hasbro’s attempt to steal thunder and undercut it’s rival Mattel’s, Monster High on toy sales. Equestria Girls is pretty much an over long advert for some dolls (well, so is FIM since they’re both products of a toy conglomerate), that’s why they all have the same Barbie Doll bodies. The plots of Equestria Girls all feel like recycled ideas from Sailor Moon. ‘Oh, there’s a person who transformed into a monster, let’s transform into our pony up selves and defeat them/her.’ They seemed to have dropped that in the later shorts, but Equestria Girls’ message is pretty much every problem can be solved by singing and dancing. Which for a series set in a high school, is pretty vapid when you consider what emotional changes you go through at that age. You’re starting to find your place in the world then, and they never go that deep in EqG. Which proves my point, that it’s not meant to be a series that High Schoolers can relate to, just something to appeal to 6-9 year old girls who want a Sunset Shimmer doll for Christmas. If you want to see a good cartoon set in a high school setting, that deals with issues that teenagers face, watch Daria. That’s also better than MLP imo.
Think I can help you there.
Op has mentioned on multiple times he’s autistic. Speaking from experience (I’m an aspie myself), one of the behaviors of that is a very black and white view on things, especially interests. This means you can have a near-relgious dedication to things you like, while a burning hatred for that which you do not, especially things considered “inappropriate” like South Park and Family Guy. For example, as a kid I worshipped anything related to Sonic the Hedgehog while absolutely despising Naruto, on the basis that I wasn’t a fan. They had nothing to do with each other, but because one was “good” and the other “bad”, they were mortal enemies.
Pretty sure that’s what’s going on here, to some extent.
That’s the level of comparison going on here. Makes no sense. That and the whole pushing your personal opinions as facts thing is pretty immature. Is this bait?
You have my pity my friend.
Let me guess, first two (admittedly terrible) episodes?
No offense, but I never could get into that one personally.
Brah we need to get you some Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Oh I never knew.
