I’unno, Rarity looks pretty small here. The height difference seems to be pretty exaggerated in this pic.
Not that Twilight deserves to be taller than all of her friends while they still retain their cookie-cutter builds. A travesty, I say.

They got Rainbow power once the box was opened, and Rainbow Power would make her grow a double mane and tail.
Actually, they gave them up to the Tree of Harmony in the season premiere to save it, since it was being suffocated by the plunder vines.
It indirectly led to Tirek’s defeat, but that’s later.

That’s not true. They gave them up at the beginning of season 4 to heal the tree of Harmony and prevent the Plundervines from regrowing. They’re still in the tree in the cave.

They gave them up to defeat Tirek at the end of Season 4. And the Tree of Harmony basically became Twilight’s castle. Thus, why they all have thrones and the appearance of the Cutie Map.
