I’m still unsure if I want to watch this episode or not instead of just skipping it.
 
I was never really a fan of Twilight’s undeserved status, and a whole episode with ponies screaming left and right “I love you, Princess Twilight!” seems like it’d get grating real fast.

I was referring to “Twilight’s Kingdom”. The opening scenes are dedicated to Twilight feeling trivial and unimportant, and being snubbed by foreign dignitaries. She was upset because she did not see her role as a princess to amount to anything more than smiling and waving in the background.
 
Basically, she got too little attention back then and is getting too much right now.
