It’s not easy being a member of a feral aggressive species. It ends up being a vicious circle: so many hydras have mindlessly attacked ponies that pony soldiers will attack hydras on sight, including the young ones which firmly get the idea that “pony = enemy” from said attacks XD

Yes. Normally it wouldn’t if it was hydra x hydra (every head would get a match) but here it’s three heads and one spooked (and lucky) dragon :D

Would dating a hydra count as polyamory? I mean they may share a single body but if each head has a unique personality it can be argued that they are all different entities.

All three heads share memories and knowledge, but their personalities and conscious awareness are independent. Granted because they share memories and knowledge their personalities are fairly similar, but they’re never the less each able to think for themselves.
 
And before you call bullshit, each tentacle on an octopus has it’s own independant “personality”. Seriously :P
 
Match is the one on the left and is the most outgoing and spontaneous of the heads, who’s eager to get up and personal with him. Pan is the head on the right (actually the center-most head) and is the thinker of the group, who decided to snatch Spike to begin with and is thinking to woo him “dragon-style” by giving him a present, and Serpentine at the back is the most feral of the group so she’s holding back and still trying to decide what to do :D

They’re only born with two heads, but cutting one off causes two to grow in it’s place. An adventurer ran afoul of her once :P
