Though being American, the first thing that’s going to pop up when I see that Chinese-style locomotive is Iowa Interstate.
You’re close. The locomotive is based on the SY Class 2-8-2s found in China, but it looks like the artist took the liberty of adding another wheelset to the lead truck -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_Railways_SY
Also, I wanna say that’s a 4-8-2.
