@N2MP
Glad that you like it. Honestly, this entire comic just me practicing for my more long multiple issues comic which is Summer Color, though still on hiatus due to a lot of I having a lot of stress from real life. Hope I will continue it soon. And again I am glad that you like it and thank you so much for your input
@Cyan Lightning
Well, I read this comic in one sitting, and it was a fun little adventure. Certain OC’s just have eye-catching designs that make me check out their tag.
The only real issue I had was repetition in some pages. Like in >>1438553 Cyan tells Rumble about the dangers of the spell when he asks, then the very next panel tells Button the exact same thing. This isn’t an ongoing issue, as it only happen in like 2-3 pages, so it’s not a big deal.
If this was a more serious story I might agree with redweasel that turning someone into an alicorn is OP, but in a slice-of-life comedy bit like this it’s fine, as Button doesn’t fight Tirek, or something like that. He uses the power for 1 major spell, which he messes up, and that’s it.
There were lots of funny moments, like the boops, King Button, the CMC freaking at Button looking like he’s about to kill Rumble with a giant sword.
The journey through the comic was good, but I don’t know about the ending. I guess I just felt that Sweetie Belle mastering a tricky spell wasn’t what I expected Cyan’s adventures to end off on.
@redweasel
Oh okay. And yeah I have to say that it does very attempting to make self insert OC have no flaw. But then again I realized that I want to make likeable not perfect but still quite powerful. So that’s why add some negative trait, how he can be silly like how he first meet Rumble. And then he can be impatient like that part when when CMC just aren’t moving for hour. Though originally I want to add another negative trait too that he is physically weak, shy and other. But 30 pages doesn’t have a lot of room to cramp that up. Next comic because it’s a multiple issues it will have a lot of room to add other negative trait that I want to.
And also thanks for suggesting me and hope that you will enjoy for my future work.
@Background Pony #E50F
I can think a few interesting characters that about “god like being that messes with the characters.” Like Bill Cipher and Discord. They both generally being love by fandom, despite that they’re pretty “OP”.
it’s tempting to give one’s self insert all the powers, or make them wiser than the other characters, or more popular, but you can’t think of it like the character would, since they’d try to avoid any drama and have everything always go right. story is built on conflict, and an OC that’s a genius prodigy makes the creator seem insecure, like they’re afraid of depicting themselves as flawed. so as a general rule, it’s more entertaining to have your OC screw up or fail, than to have no flaws.
that said, any character can be done well, and you didn’t do a bad job. I’m just suggesting something to keep in mind with any future creative works.
You know what, I don’t like the term “overpowered”, because it quite relative. But the point isn’t compare he to Starlight, just saying that Alicorn isn’t really that powerful some people would thought it would be at least in my headcanon, so a spell for changing one race to alicorn well, it’s like a butterfly spell with better wings and horn and adding more magic energy reserve about 2-4 times. And that’s just about it.
Don’t worry, it’s fine if you’re complain and disagree, but I just want to have a little discussion and maybe I could take something from you to make my comic better.
@redweasel
This might late. But I want to add this.
“creating an alicorn? even for a day that’s… really overpowered”
To be honest, after season 5 finale. See how Starlight Able to match up with Twilight despite she is a unicorn, that make me think that Alicorn is nothing but just a Pegasus with horn or Unicorn with wings. Though yeah season 4 finale, but we see how Celestia just can’t defend her castle in season 2 finale.
This is make have a headcanon that Alicorn is just probably 2-4 have magic energy reverse than Unicorn, have wings and horn and maybe Earth Pony strength. But they aren’t as like a order magnitudes than other race. Probably 2-4 more powerful at Best and just saying my headcanon is applied to my comic.
So yeah, changing a pony to alicorn for a day isn’t as “over powered” as people seems, because I am applying my headcanon.
@redweasel
I have to say working for 30 pages is hard to create enough flaw for Cyan and with my a bit limited drawing ability doesn’t help neither. Though the main focus of comic focus of the comic is about comedy and random thing like SpongeBob Squarepants (Back when it was still great show)
Narrator in the comic isn’t supposed “Narrator”, though he still do his job but he is meant to be all mighty additional character. This is concept that come out accidentally I have to say, the narrator can be good, bad, evil, hero and whatever he want he is just like a person playing life simulator like the sims m, though much more powerful.
But anyway still thank you for your critique and because the next comic will have multiple issues, I am sure I will fixed a lot of problems in the comic. And really do glad that you enjoyed it.
it was a wonderful comic! I enjoyed muchly. now problems:
cyan was a bit OP
creating an alicorn? even for a day that’s… really overpowered. it was cool how it progressed and all, but button could’ve been a unicorn…
making cyan powerful, and knowledgable, and sensible, you have less flaws in his character. that means you have less to work with when creating a story.
talking to the narrator
breaking the fourth wall is best done subtly, and rarely. actually getting help from the artist reminds us that this is a comic, and cyan’s just a drawing, not a person.
or as andrew hussie’s karkat once put it:
CG: THERE ARE JUST SOME THINGS YOU DON’T WANT TO SCREW WITH.
CG: THERE ARE OUTCOMES THAT ARE EVEN WORSE THAN THE COMPLETE ANNIHILATION OF EXISTENCE ITSELF
CG: FORCES MORE DAMAGING TO THE INTEGRITY OF REALITY THAN THOSE CAPABLE OF TURNING IMAGINATION INTO PURE VOID
CG: THEY ARE FORCES WHICH IF HANDLED RECKLESSLY WILL NULLIFY THE BASIC ABILITY OF INTELLIGENT BEINGS IN ALL REAL AND HYPOTHETICAL PLANES OF EXISTENCE TO GIVE A SHIT.
otherwise, no complaints. thanks for putting it together!
Sure, go ahead ^^
I’m planning to translate your artworks into Chinese and post them on fimtale.com or bilivili or so on. Would you like it?
best wishes getting past whatever life’s throwing at you. take care of yourself!

Eeyup. But now discord is good guy. Just very eccentric.
they’re also both villains…….

if you have to compare yourself with starlight glimmer to justify not being overpowered… you’re p. overpowered.
glimglam is just ridic OP
plus he’s a foal.
anyway, don’t worry about it too much. I can complain and disagree with you all I want. I still thought the comic was enjoyable.
