@cheezedoodle
Already have most of the 3.5 books as digital copies due to the guys at my first champaign, and I think all the books for the Star Wars Saga Edition series, so I’m good for now, thank.
This is some top quality content right here, I played 1st Edition AD&D to pieces as a kid.
@BitterGrey
didn’t rangers, bards, and assassins only come around in advanced?
I definitely remember Bard and Ranger appearing in Dragon before AD&D came out, because none of the other kids in my kindergarten class knew what a bard was so I got to be The Smart One™ when somebody brought in some issues for us to look at. I’m pretty sure Assassin and Paladin and Illusionist were in some of the pre-AD&D adventure modules too.

That’s what got me out of 3rd…
If you decide you like it, DM’s Guild has some great resources.
I started a session of 5th with some guys last weekend, though I prefer the number crunching of 3.5 so far.
Edited
Have you tried 5th at all? It’s the perfect blend of fast to play but with plenty of meaty options for me.
Yikes. I think I’ll just stick with 3.5 than.
Well this was 1980 Basic D&D. Discord’s the elf class, and, well, let’s shrink Pinkie down a little and make her a halfling.
Yes, races were classes back then.
Nevar forget.

Mid-eighties, in the before time, the long long ago.
I take it that you’re an old-school player?
