“We’re gonna need more glitter; and fast!”

“You’re simply the best artist around, Ophelia my dear. I’ve never seen anyone handle abstract arts and crafts pieces such as yourself,” Discord stated with admiration, “simply marvelous!”
Ophelia beamed with pride as she slapped the final heart onto her mother’s Hearts and Hooves Day card, holding the paper down with her hoof and gently unglueing her paw from the “masterpiece”.

She held it up proudly to show Discord as the paper dripped with glue and the paper hearts slowly oozed down with over saturation. Ophelia looked at her father and back to her card, puzzled.
“It’s missing something…” she stated, laying the wet card back onto the floor.

Discord watched her carefully, and slowly formed an idea.
“I know just what to do!” with a snap of his fingers, a jumbo sized bottle of red glitter appeared in Ophelia’s lap. “Just sprinkle some of this onto your card and your mummy will surely love it to pieces! The cherry on top of the sundae if you will,” he cried as he held back mischievous laughter.

“But won’t this be too messy? Momma doesn’t really like messy things… she likes things neat and tidy! That way everything is organized and proper.”
Discord scowled as he heard Twilight’s “words of wisdom” spill from his daughter’s mouth obediently.
He slowly winded his serpentine body around the small draconequus, bringing her in close to his face and blinking sweetly at her.
“When have I ever been wrong, my precious orchid?”

Ophelia inhaled swiftly, prepared to answer her father’s question; quickly Discord slapped a rough, taloned hand over her mouth.
“Rhetorical question, darling, rhetorical. Hasn’t your mother taught you that word yet?”
Ophelia stared at her father with innocent eyes.

“Trust me, Ophelia, your mother adores glitter! She loves it’s glitz and sparkle. She simply can not get enough of the fact of how no matter how much you sweep and scrub, some pieces will forever remain! How do you think she got the name ‘Twilight Sparkle’ hmm?” Discord grinned with pleasure as he slowly saw his daughter think over his words.
“…she does like sparkly things… so you must be right!” Ophelia pounced on the glitter jar and began generously pouring the small, glittering flakes into the center of the card.

Discord chuckled lovingly as he watched his small princess of chaos fling the sticky bits all around the room; Twilight would be in for such a surprise when she came home to see all the beautiful work they’ve done!
“You’re going need more than that, dear…” he growled with pleasure, snapping his fingers yet again, making a small cloud appear over Ophelia’s head, glitter raining down in fine flakes.
Ophelia cheered with happiness, eager to please her mother with her card.
“This will be the best Hearts and Hooves Day ever!”
