Fun facts:
Sketching the image took about a minute, and vectoring it was about 25 minutes. Of course, parts were sped up to make the video short and sweet, and to fit under Derpibooru’s 25MB limit. In keeping with this pattern, it would presumably have taken me 25 years to figure out how to make this video myself :P
I used
Open Broadcast Software Studio to record myself working on this. It’s 100% free to download and use, and I can’t recommend it enough. I believe she used
Cyberlink Powerdirector to make the actual video and
Hewbo Free Video Converter to make the webm :D
That horrifying cycloptic orb is Reference Ball, who presides over my works and provides the color scheme for my character. This one came from
Rarity’s cloak :P
:P
You did give it a name.
Truth is, I mostly just use it for references. It’s really not a “character” per se :P
They’re made by the same company and share a lot of features. Flash is just geared for animations, while Fireworks is geared for images :D
It does work quite well for this kind of stuff. I think the only feature it lacks is a mesh warp tool :D
@Creepa-Bot Inc.
:D
That’s Badum for ya. An epic artist all the way.
>pulls it off extremely well
And here I though you used Illustrator. That’s pretty impressive m8.
XD
So it’s not really a ball, but a shape incomprehensible and only appears that way to us when it’s interacting with the world
That means it can be larger or smaller in appearance depending on how much of it is within our 3D space.
It truly is horrifying
Thank You

Uh…? :P
no probs
learning? Bah. :V
You could always learn :D
Same and even then, I still critque myself a ton when I’m “done.”
I wish I could draw, as it takes me forever to do things as I’m a perfectionist. XP
Oh, I’ve definately seen people make digital art from scratch. I’ve even done it before too. I just feel more comfortable the other way. But I wish I could do it as well as you and other people do.
@LightningBolt
@Badumsquish
Comparing and contrasting methods are always nice.
