There’s at least four different versions of the Dragon Slave incantation. Sure, I’ve only memorized one, but that doesn’t mean the other ones are less valid than the one I know (which just happens to be the one in this image).
 
I mean, the first time I heard the spell, it started with “Heed me now, thou who is darker than dusk, Heed that which is more red than blood.”

Oh damn it, they used THAT version of the incantation. THIS is the REAL version:
 
Darkness beyond twilight,  
Crimson beyond blood that flows,  
Buried in the flow of time,  
In thy great name,  
I pledge myself to darkness!  
Those who stand before us in our way  
All those who have become fools  
Merge thy power and mine  
To grant destruction equally to all!!

Well, yeah I can understand your issue with the spell. But one could say Twilight Sparkle’s Secret Shipfic Folder, the etymology name, is different - ie instead of coming from “Dragon Slayer”, it comes from the spells users being called by other “Demon Slaves”, or “Demon’s (Ruby-Eye Shabranigdo’s) Slaves”, for calling on Shabranigdo power, many superstitious people believing it’s casters serve Ruby Eye Shabranigdu or Mazoku. I mean,even the “I pledge myself to conquer all the foes who stand before the mighty gift bestowed in my unworthy hand” line, could be interpreted wrongly by people not knowing much about the spell.
 
While the name would be originally a pejorative, it could eventually enter common usage, even among the casters - similary there is evidence, the term “Christian” was originally a pejorative by the Romans, and that first Christans, called themselves differently. But overtime, oddky and (obviousy as of now), adopted the Roman pejorative as their name.
 
But that’s just my take on this XD

I’m mildly annoyed that they left the incantation completely intact, but changed it from Dragon Slave to Demon Slave. Considering that Dragon Slave was once called “Dragon Slayer” but got corrupted over time, that dragons are the holy race of Red World, and Dragon Slave/Slayer draws on the power of Ruby-Eye Shabranigdo (the strongest Mazoku, or demon, on Red World), the incantation would have to be changed to draw on Flare Lord Cepheid (Dragon God of Red World) for it to be Demon Slave.

Haha, indeed it’s ironic.  
Although if you played Dota (Defence of the Ancients), especially the Steam version, there is a character very visibly based on Lina Inverse, Lina, The Slayer , who is obviously based on Lina (up having attacks named Dragon Slave and Laguna Blade), but also is busty . (for copyright reasons? XD)

That’s a very powerful card, but also a very awesome one.
 
Btw. There are cards that can’t be removed right? Are those the ones you’d be left with after using this card’s ability?
