Description

Image test. Got bored with Blender, so I tried out some new things such as the experimental real-time displacements, grass, HDR, and focusing a bit more on improving things in post.

This image took 17 hours to make. Not even a joke. Including texturing, material-making, shader-creation, scene build, rendering, and post-processing.

Taking a break from rendering because I’m worn out now. Mostly made this because I didn’t like how her animation went.

The crazy amount of detail on various assets like the realistically modeled bark on the trees, and the inconstancy in the dirt were done by using subsurf based displacement. Which requires things to be semi high poly, but makes a sorta modeled bump-map like effect rather than giving the illusion of higher poly via light manipulation.

Pretty sure anyone with a good eye can tell on the render, but I had to edit out the grass strands on her legs via post-editing, as I didn’t want to re-render it over such a small issue.
