Yeah tempest petrified 3 princesess and drainded magic from the FOUR to a scepter
I agree she needs to be judged for what she has done
Enjoy being a pigeon sh(yay) reservoir, ya brat.
I was thinking about that season finale, and it occurred to me that your infographic is true, but there is still some crossover. extreme calculation and manipulation can be coping mechanisms for controlling the rage that sociopaths get punished for expressing. a sociopath can act like a psychopath for a very long time, until their “cover” is blown. and… that was exactly what happened in “school raze.”
…and in “the cutie map”
I guess by that definition I’m a partial psychopath, able to form emotional bonds and capable of feeling empathy to a very limited extent(mostly towards animals) but other than that people are like toys, especially the idiots
Edited
A friend of mine, a sociopath, once tried killing his own mother, uncle, and father by throwing things at them in rage, even though his inability to have a job or social life means they had to care for him. And he was glad when his mother passed away.

Those sound about right, although I think it’s the sociopath who’s cold and apathic, but still capable of forming emotional bonds, and the psychopath who’s sadistic and unstable and completely incapable of forming an emotional attachment. Although there seems to be many different definitions from what I’ve seen. The personal definition I have is based on the most common qualities I see attributed to one or the other in many different sources

Lex Luthor vs The Joker; I believe classic, fictional examples of how different they are.
I have friends/family that are either, and friends who have narcissism (and possibly my father). The difference is motive, and it shapes their personality traits very differently.
TL;DR
Psychopath is often a savvy individual who sees all humans, including themselves, in a state of meaninglessness, and don’t form emotional attachments and don’t feel emotions the same way most do; lots of apathy. Everything is a science experiment to them.
Sociopath is an emotionally out-bursting individual that sees everyone around them as undeserving playthings for their own amusement.
A sociopath might burn innocent creatures and cackle in laughter as it’s entertaining to them. They feel enjoyment, they’ll do it for fun. A psychopath is capable of burning innocent creatures for a specific gain and feel no remorse. They’ll do it because logically it’s the best course of action they see.
Psychopath, a person who has limited, or no emotional attachment to other human beings and generally disregards their rights and lives, often with manipulative or bored intentions. They often see people as animals that can be manipulated, hunted, and experimented on, even themselves. Things done for amusement due to kack of stimulation. They’re often savvy and clever people and even well-liked in multiple social groups. But psychopaths can logically reason moral principles and immitate emotions (my closest cousin is one)
Sociopath, a person who instills chaos, often counter-culture and destructive behavior, bored easily, with a disregard for the lives of others for self-fulfilment. A sociopath can see everyone as a toy or slave, and can reason only worthy of suffering for personal amusement. If criminals, the psychopath is the business suit evil genius, the sociopath is the guy with baseball bat beating people for fun, or wanting to. (I have a best friend who is one)
A narcissist is someone who thinks themselves higher and more deserving than others, often expecting treatment with grandiose thoughts of every action, so slight. They take over conversations and twist them into topics about themselves, they manipulate relationships into co-dependency, and get defensive easily. They can’t blame themselves for any problem, and everyone around them are like connections and strings back to themselves; the purpose of others is to serve them somehow in some way.
Either way she lacks empathy or a moral compass, and doesn’t have the ability to learn either. And seems to have both a strong sense of narcissism and and obsession with power. She’s kind of like a vampire from blindsight, except she isn’t an omnisavant and she doesn’t have a fatal seizure when if she sees intersecting vertical and horizontal lines
technically there’s no difference between psychopathy and sociopathy. people initially assumed that all psychopaths were psychotic, and started trying to substitute the term sociopathy, when they found that was not the case. then the pcl-r came out, which formally classified psychopaths, and ignored people using the word sociopath, so people started calling them psychopaths again.
you might be thinking psychopaths versus people with antisocial personality disorder which has a different diagnostic criteria than the pcl-r. either way though, cozy glow isn’t impulsive, nor is she irresponsible, so the diagnosis doesn’t really fit.
It’s not possible. Psychopaths are completely incapable of forming emotional/personal bonds with other people, Nor can they learn how, a person is either a potential tool or an obstacle. What chopsticks is thinking of is sociopath, which is different in that all they have is a lack of empathy or a moral compass, but are still capable of learning how to make themselves feel empathy and form emotional/personal bonds, it’s just that for them empathy is a conscious effort rather than a subconscious reflex
yeah, she’s definitely preoccupied with fantasies of ultimate success and power, so narcissism sorta fits. antisocial personality disorder really seems like the best fit for cozy’s actions, except she seems to have very good impulse control. queen chrysalis is the textbook example of APD, but you’re right: cozy glow doesn’t quite fit into any one of that cluster of disorders.
it’d be less scary if they never brought cozy up again, but it would hurt my heart to think she was left rotting in that cage all alone, and no one even tried to find out what was wrong. so I think I could deal with a… not very nice filly, as long as the ponies I do love try their best to help her.
I’m not sure it’s possible to have psychopaths as friends… even trixie’s more like starlight’s puppy than her friend.
(and I love it.)I hope they actually never bring her up again.
Having a few psychopaths as friends, and growing up with one, Starlight isn’t a psychopath, very far from it (assuming that was serious).
Cozy Glow has a few traits of Narcissism, and other Cluster B personality disorders, but not enough to be considered for a diagnosis I would think. Though I haven’t given it a huge amount of thought.
this was drawn before the final episode aired. I agree it’d be kind of psychopathic if cozy had this reaction after attempting to conquer/destroy equestria. though it’d depend, because if she’s upset that people think she’s evil… that’s empathy right there.
anyway I just like teasing starlight glimmer for being such a lovable psychopath. I dunno what the hell is wrong with cozy glow. hopefully season 9 will reveal this, instead of leaving her a cookie cutter villain, whose motives remain genuinely inexplicable.
At least starlight has tried and managed to learn the basics of empathy and morality, although there were a few…hiccups. This little demon couldn’t learn what empathy is if it tried, she doesn’t even know what she did wrong!. Sociopath vs psychopath

silly, prometheus labs ceo. that’s not starlight glimmer!
What’s wrong with her is the part of her brain that’s allows for empathy, personal bonds, and a sense of consequences doesn’t work
