Reforming ≠ Sharing love.
She could make up some bs excuse that it will take some time for her to be able to share her love, she’s on a higher level on her species so it shouldn’t work the same.
She can shapeshift and knows all kinds of magic and even if she couldn’t transform knowing the ponies they would probably be gullible enough to believe her anyways if it means reformation.
They weren’t even inherently hostile towards pharynx who was making it obvious that he didn’t like things one bit.
