If a child loves an adult, should you:
A. Acknowledge the feelings and act on them.
B. Pass it off as a cute crush.
C. Let them down easy, knowing it will break their heart.
Option A will probably land you in jail. B will not embarrass the child. C is just cruel.
And yes, Spike is a child. He grows up during the series. We watch it happen. We see the moment he hits puberty.
