Description

Good news, Vancouver bronies: that sunset in one land is a sunrise in your area! (Or is it that the Sun is rising from the west, as in the planet Venus?)

It’s also double the fun for local furries too!

I want to see this work as more Pony conventions is never a bad this especially with BronyCon ending next year but… I’ll have to go next year if they have it. The mod below was right, its too soon! Not enough time. I live out in the northeast. Vancouver is way out west. No way I could drive that and plane tickets are expensive.

Interesting - five months to the day seems like kinda short notice for a new convention. Especially since they haven’t even announced a name, website, registration prices, etc. It takes a bit of time for interest and word-of-mouth to spread, and five months isn’t much.

Then atop of that, there’d be even less time for them to collect applications for vendors, musicians, panelists, etc. For starters, they don’t have a site up yet for applying. Then they need time to select and notify applicants. Then the successful applicants need time to make travel plans and such (and order inventory if vending). Realistically speaking, if they get their site / applications up in the next week, they’d have maybe a month at most to collect applications.

I wish them luck, but honestly, five months does not seem like nearly enough lead time to start a new con.
