When I said that part, I was referring to those (whether they ship Rarijack or not) who are fed up with some Rarijack shippers that keep claiming that Rarijack is canon right now and shoving it down their throats. But I agree with you on that.

I just came back from the filters part of this site to update my filter to spolier season 8/the EG series/G5 leaks. And I saw that it has a Complex Hide Filter, where they can put in “rarijack, canon claim” to hide images tagged with both “rarijack” and “canon claim” without hiding those tagged with just one of them. But you’re right about that. I don’t see how that’s going to solve anything either.

I agree with most of what you’ve said, but I think that this: “there are many people who are tired of this being brought up again and again” is no reason at all to stop the so called spammers on uploading what they think they want to share.
 
Rarijack is NOT canon, but if someone wants to upload a pic claiming it is, that’s their delusion. The same goes with any other ships and sensitive pictures like abuse, nazis, weird or violent fetishes, etc.  
Maybe we just need to ask for a ‘canon claim’ tag and everyone who is not ok with the combo ‘rarijack’ + ‘canon claim’ should filter it.
 
If people falsely claiming Rarijack as canon is to be censored in any way (including self censorship), then there’s a whole lot of topics which must as well be censored, and that would never be the best solution.

I honestly doubt Hasbro will be brave enough to have canon lesbians in MLP/EqG any time before G6.
 
They don’t seem to mind giving the shippers plenty of material to work with, though.

Okay, I’ve posted this once, and I’m going to post it again, but with a few changes:
 
Okay, for those who are tired of this “RARIJACK IS CANON!” stuff, I would like to say this: I love Rarijack. But I, too, am tired of people saying “RARIJACK IS CANON!” when it’s not. I’m also fed up with all this back-and-forth Rarijack shipping war stuff that has been happening for 2 months now.
 
And for those who say “Rarijack is canon” (I’m not naming names here), let me say this: I love Rarijack as much as you do. But please stop this. You’re making the rest of us Rarijack shippers/fans look bad. In fact, I am very ashamed of myself as a Rarijack fan right now because of you guys who keep shoving it down everyone else’s throats. And there are many people who are tired of this being brought up again and again, whether they ship it or not. And right now, most of those who don’t ship it see it as a “bad meme” or a “pointless spam” or something that “lost meaning.” Those people, especially Background Pony #01D2, are right. Rarijack has no meaning anymore. Another reason I feel very bad as a Rarijack fan/shipper right now. I’m sorry to say this to you guys. I have no reason to believe Rarijack is canon right now. No one working on the show has confirmed it, and Applejack and Rarity never kissed one another. They’re not even dating and they never have. (And no, blushing and hugging at the same time doesn’t count either||, though I’m still wondering why the show staff made them do so||.) So since those things haven’t happened, please stop saying this. Besides, we have ONE canon lesbian couple already. (And it’s in the books / comics, not on the show.)

When I can simply share my thoughts with someone without having someone try to instill their restrictive view over canonicity on me like they’re actually some authority over it, then trust me, I’ll gladly calm down and find something better to do, such as hey, gushing about the ships I like on this show, which apparently nowadays we sadly can’t do without a bunch of randos constantly coming at our doorstep to tell us what is and isn’t canon because apparently, having fun just ain’t freaking allowed anymore!
