(We never see Lightning Dust ever again except for fanfics that make her look a much bigger jerk than she actually was, kind of an opposite Trixie.)

I think he was supposed to be funny in-verse, but it wasn’t well appreciated. Stalin could have told the funniest joke ever, but Churchill would never laugh.
Funny to us, yes.
But within the canon.
While she is compassionate, she’s the element of laughter. Discord’s too funny to contrast that.
I (and sixtyfour215) already said that DisQord is Pinkie’s foil.
Both chaotic, but DisQord lacks Pinkie’s compassion.

That’s a good theory and all, but not canon. As far as we know Rainbow might’ve gone to a different Flight Camp than Fluttershy.
If there’s an opportunity to mock Scientology (and Tom Cruise’s gay thoughts), we must take it.
Well, when you look at them in regards to their relationship with Dash, she becomes Fluttershy’s evil counterpart. Both were friends in Flight Camp, meaning that at some point either Gilda was nicer or Rainbow Dash was worse, considering Dash blew Gilda off immidiatly after Gilda dropped her act. So Gilda would encourage Dash’s bad behavior, while Fluttershy was someone Rainbow was always nice to. So if you took Gilda out of her childhood, Rainbow would probably be nicer, but if you took Fluttershy out, she’d be as bad as Gilda.
Just conjecture though, by that was my reasoning.
OH yeah, then Iron will might be Flutter’s foil.
