I’m ok with that.
They already have these episodes dubbed in multiple languages well in advance, just simulcast them.
That’s what was in the leaks from winter. I guess they changed their policy from past years.
Do they? Seriously, why would that be a priority with them?
Remember, the target audience for MLP:FIM watches the show on TV. They don’t live-stream episodes on the Internet, have running commentary on /mlp/ or Equestria Daily, or jump on Derpibooru the moment the episode’s over to post screencaps. Only a very small minority of adult fans do that. As far as Hasbro’s concerned, the timing of episode releases doesn’t really matter, so long as they’re aired in the correct order in each market.
Then why aren’t episodes airing at the same time. I actually prefer the Australia air times (Fridays, ~5:30pm), because it’s more convenient for me (Although I love waking up early for ponies). But, that’s the only benefit I see in this.
Hasbro should have better control of the stations that they distribute the show to.
Actually there is. Hasbro want to release episodes in different countries around the same time. Ealier there was few months difference and even year ones.
If the predictions are true, and FiM is ending soon, I want to savor the last seasons… And when they air early I’m rather likely to get spoiled. (I’ve already been semi-spoiled on Episoded 20)
Hasbro really needs to get their shit together, there’s hardly any logical reason behind these inconsistent releases.

Could not agree more. I’ve never down right hated an episode of MLP before, but this episode made me angry.
Release dates for other countries where they requested dub.
Confirms what? That Hasbro WANTED other countries to finish season 8 before the U.S.?
If you checked leaks from winter info about international release was there and that confirms my point.
“Hasbro’s plan”. “Hasbro’s plan”. That’s what you keep saying, as if this is perfectly acceptable.
I’m with soundtea. This is complete incompetence on Hasbro’s part for failing to regulate these releases more consistently. Now, not even the show staff themselves can keep track anymore.
If 10+ countries wrap up a season ahead of where that season is actually produced, something is wrong.

Updated my previous comment. Check it for more info.

Or its just them being lazy since the show has been going on for 8 seasons now. Don’t assume malice where incompetence is easily the answer.
New and improved ‘The Mysterious Mare Do Well’ and ‘28 Pranks Later’.
That was Hasbro’s plan all along to do something like this.
They requested dubs to versions which were/will be released soon (they don’t request all) and they handle of release. Channels only set date which is good for them in the schedule.
They are scheduled for August/September (yeah, there will be like 10 countries which will get finalie before USA) and go by casual for them schedule.

It wouldnt happen if Hasbro would keep some damn better control over when the episodes get to other countries, or at least put something about not airing it till US catches up. Not a fan of how Sweden is going full Stevenbomb mode for it.
Imagine their feels when they finish making the last episode and watch the final product, tears rolling down their cheeks.
Then imagine their anguish when some random TV channel airs it months in advance, without any warning. “We had a big goodbye party planned for it, but it’s all moot now.”
You know this is how it will go.
I don’t like call them early. Better use phrase world premiere which is much better.
