Think of her as the writer than, and she’s telling the audience the events through her dream.
recalling is not narrating. there’s no one you’re telling it to.
And that dream was her recalling events from her past, making her the narrator.
she wasn’t narrating that dream to anyone, if it even was entirely a dream.
She was the one dreaming about him getting the idea to get her drunk, though. In that dream, she was the narrator.
she’s not narrating though. thankfully.
I think she’s just an unreliable narrator.
she was bullshitting her daughter who wouldn’t leave it alone, plus it was a joke.
