Description

On Titan, the second planet in orbit around Greater Equestria lives a sole-sapient species known by a simple name: Snoog. (left side) Snoogs are anaerobic cat-like creatures with stubby legs, whose diets consist mostly of fungi and lesser creatures. Because of the otherwise toxic atmosphere of Titan, Snoogs and other creatures native to Titan process their food and essential organic systems through magic. Aside from their tri-cerebral minds used to communicate at long distances with their fellows and their queens through simple orders and return-statements. Hives average 2-4 cubic miles in diameter, structured as rocky mounds jutting out of the ground 150 ft or more. Snoogs migrate from their hives regularly about twenty miles on average to forage for food, building material and potential partners for their queens.

The social structure of snoogs is very similar to most hive-like species on Greater-Equestria. Every hive hoolds mostly workers-Infertile males and females- who receive orders and guidance from their queen(botom right)–a fertile mother three times the size on average to worker snoogs who usually bonds for life with one or more fertile males.

The philosophy of most snoogs is one of unity over the individual. They do not let emotion get in the way of work and knowledge for the good of the hive. Their language is clear, concise and to the point, word and sentence patterns best representative of computer code. While the ideal of unity is quite compatible with the pony philosophy of friendship, their lack of emotion made initial introductions with a thick suit of gold-iron mixture separating the two rather… awkward. However, being the closest thing to autonomous, self-sustaining computation systems that ponies have, the snoogs readily offered their services as logical data-processors in turn for food, shelter and knowledge.
