Meet Barbat Gordon (AKA Bat-Mare) :3
And yes, she is based of the Barbra Gordon version of Batgirl XD
She is the daughter of the police commissioner in Canterlot. Many people think that she is just an average 18 year old who spends all day blogging and writing fanfics of her OTPs (Ok maybe she does do that. Like… A lot. But she does other stuff!)
But what they don’t know, is that when crime strikes, she turns into the vigilante of the night, BAT-MARE!
(She originally called herself bat-filly but she thought that it made her sound too young lmao)
However, while the real Batgirl is skilfull, tactical, has had years of training, skilled in several martial arts/fighting styles and has a wide array of expensive gadgets, this one… doesn’t XD
The only training she has is that she’s a decent athlete and that she took some martial arts classes when she was younger, Her outfits and gadgets are mostly just stuff she has improvised and she’s known or using whatever she can to fight.
She knows a lot about hacking and computers though buy that’s about it XD
She’s rather inexperienced about the whole “crimefighting” thing (A mugger isn’t really going to be afraid of you if your dramatic entrance is ruined by falling face first into a smelly dumpster), but her mind is in the right place and she has helped a lot of ponies.

Romero Joker is one of my fave Jokers, just becuase this one seems more like a giant troll/cartoon villain more then an actual threat X)
Plus becuase of the fact that ROmero’s moustache was so magnificent, he refused to shave it when he was playing the Joker and just decided to paint over it (In fact, you can still see the moustache in certain scenes)
And i know about the whole Schumacher bussiness with the last two Batman films.
I do feelskinda bad for the guy. I mean he seems like a nice guy, but his name will forever be connected wiht one of the worst superhero movies that almost killed the genre. Although he does seem to poke fun about this alot, so at least he has a sense of humour about it
(Also interestingly enough, apparently he blames the whole mess of Batman &Robin on him even though it wasn;t all his fault, like ou said about the <cDonalds deals and that)
Well i mean, Batman itself is a rather campyconcept.
You have a rich man who deals wiht his mommy and daddy issues by dressing up in a Halloween costume and beating up people who need mental help X)
But i get what you mean about the old ones being camp.
I heard that that is the reason why Batman Returns is a split amoung the fanbase.
People who are more critcal of the film don;t like it becuase they find that the movie keeps flip-flopping (pardon the pun) between on if it wants to be serious (Penguin’s plan to kidnapp and murder every first born baby in Gotham) or silly (Like you said, Penguin having a literal penguin army and riding a giant duck shaped boat), and the contrast ends up making it hard to watch.
Although I have seen both people that love and hate the movie agree that Danny DeVito was a great PEnguin, and that Michelle Pfeiffer was a great Catwoman (And also looks really hot in leather XD)
I loved the Lego Batman movie too. I loved how meta the jokes were.
Cesar Romero was a rather fun Joker. I think he’s funny. Also, that clip was hilarious. I love it.
The other two films in the set of four weren’t directed by Burton even though they were sequels to his films. They were directed by Joel Schumacher. That’s why they’re a bit different tonally and style wise compared to the other two. The changes weren’t entirely his fault (despite what some people in the Batman fandom would like to say). Warner Brothers kept pressuring him to make the movies tamer and sillier so they could sell toys easier. Joel was perfectly able to make dark films since he made R-rated horror films before working on the Batman films (though they still had their fair share of camp in them too).
But trust me, the two Tim Burton films have more than enough camp: like Jack Nichelson’s Joker breaking into a museum and painting goofy mustaches on everything, Danny Devito’s Penguin riding a duck shaped boat and having actual literal penguin minions, and Catwoman being risen from the dead by cats and having 9 literal lives. I’m not making this up if I tried. Also, the second Burton film has Christopher Walken in it, so there’s that.
Oh, I forgot to mention the Lego Batman movied, liked that too XD
Well I like campy Batman more, since I always default to that whenever someone mentions Batman.
Like when people bring up the Joker, most people think of either the Jack Nicholson or Heath ledger version sof him (Or the Jared Leto one on the more cynical end of “worst movie villains/villain actors”) when it comes to live action, or Mark Hamill when it comes to the games and cartoons.

Never seen the rest of the Burton batman films (Since the two I watched where the more goofy/bad of the 4). i’ll try and see them when I can.
And I could never get into the animated series or any of the other batman cartoons besides the Brave and the Bold
I love both campy and serious Batman too. I’ve seen all of the live action Batman movies…well, not the old black and white 1940s serial films. But everything from the 60s Batman to the uncut version of Batman v. Superman and I liked them all myself. So you’re in good company here.
The Tim Burton films were my favorites though because they were the perfect blend of both campy and serious Batman for me and I just really loved the how the costumes, sets, and the Batmobile looked in them (plus the Danny Elfman score). And that’s kind of why I really enjoyed The Animated Series as well. It had serious moments but there’s also moments with comedy and camp in it too. Plus I also loved how well developed its characters were.
Funnily enough with the live action movies, the only ones that I have seen fully are Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Batman Begins, the 60’s Batman movie, and Batman vs Superman.
I liked them all too.

Rule of thubs is that i generally prefer campy Batan to more dark/grumpy Batman.
I mean i do like most of the serious Batman stuff, but i prefer campy batman since that was the version that introduced me to Batman.
That’s with me and the Animated series (actually to be technical it was bits of Batman Returns) but the same concept applies. I’d watch the series all the time with my parents.
I’m guessing you like The Brave and the Bold as far as animated Batman series go then since it’s a bit more on the campy side of things?

(The Adam West batman was the first exsposure i had to Batman, so that probably shaped how i see him and the franchise)
Fair enough point. I love both themes and series myself but I like the Animated Series a bit more.
I am noticing a distinct lack of “Nanananana’s” form the Elfman verison.
Therefore, 60’s Batman > Danny Elfman theme
(Jk i like both both i still prefer the Adam West one)
But-but Danny Elfman.
That is still the best Batman theme and the best Batman related thing period and I will fight anyone if they disagree XD
