Well for starters celestia did not knowand also because these rainboom did not happen Twilight failed her entry exam and never became celestia student and was never sent to the ponyville

When Starlight went back, she always prevented the first Sonic Rainboom. Without that Rainboom, the accidental time travel can’t happen (the two Rainbooms are connected like a wormhole), so in those timelines Celestia never meets the future Mane 6 and never leans that: they all eventually move Ponyville, they are the future Element bearers, and Twilight becomes an alicorn.

Except for the fact that Celestia was able to detect all the other ponies that went back in time in this comic, so she would know about Starlight messing with time. Also I’m not, but even if I were I wouldn’t have to try very hard, there are plenty of plotholes.

You’re acting like Celestia is omniscient. She likely had no idea about Starlight messing with time… it’s starting to seem like you’re just trying to find any way to find plot holes where there aren’t any…

Wait I just thought of something, why didn’t Celestia do this in every time Starlight went to the past to change it? She could’ve just wiped everyone’s memory so Equestria should’ve just been fine every time.

Now I imagine a story where Spike meets his future self and learns that he becomes the first Dragon Emperor of Equestria or something like that. And he either becomes a paranoid to prevent it from happening or is delighted by the whole thing. “Better clean Twi’s palace again, the day I eat it is when I become God-Emperor of Dragonkind.”

Luna/Nightmare Moon, Tirek, the Pillars, Discord and Sombra happened a thousand years in the past. Nightmare Moon was considered a fairy tale, while Tirek and Sombra were likely just lost to time since no one expected them to ever return. The Pillars were still known through stories as legends and teachers taught about Discord in school because of his antithesis towards harmony. I got nothing for Seaquestria, though, unless the Storm King was ALSO 1000 years old. Don’t know anything about that last one.

Let’s be honest, it’s a time travel story, I think we all saw this coming.

The only times we know she used it was in “FIENDship” to cure mind rape from nightmares and here to cure reality endangering paradoxes, under dire circumstance when there were no other alternatives.

I just realized this would explain why Maud wasn’t in Pinkie’s flashback, and in this comic how filly Applejack and Rarity had their Cuite Marks despite supposedly getting them later, their recounts from “The Cutie Mark Chronicles” were inaccurate, unreliable. To quote BioShock Infinite “The mind of the subject will desperately struggle to create memories where none exist…”
