Caring for Starlight gave it away. She’s effectively forgotten by the fandom. Content saturation with her resulted in some kind of fatigue finally resultating in a lack of awareness of her existence. The opposite case is Nyx who’s not known for the current lack of interest in fanfiction.
When she does appear in fan works it’s mostly commissions and the artists will claim some nonsense it’s a single guy requesting her.
What made it obvious? The heavy, angry breathing you could still hear even now from when this was made, or the ridiculous spamming of that stupid Glimmerboop meme?
Literally that entire board is just full of people screeching and unironically circle-jerking over Starlight’s apparent popularity - when she isn’t any more than the other mane six, but in their diluted minds… hoo boy
