This render’s nothing too crazy, just a simple outdoor lighting scene that I made while testing out the rig when applying the latest changes I’ve made to my other character models since I started working on wings. I just thought the pose was cute and decided to publish this render despite the simplicity. I should probably do this more. |
One thing that has changed significantly since last time are the eyelashes. The eyelashes are now their own model and look like real eyelashes. Just don’t mind Coloratura’s character specific lush eyelashes, the other characters I have don’t have eyelashes that lush, but they still have the same fundamental changes to the eyelashes now too. Hopefully they look good! |

I have a hard time believing the SSS is overtuned. Given the context of the lighting in this render, being a very bright single point dot in the sky, it would be natural for SSS to show more prominently. And even then, it’s not showing a whole lot in this scene imo. There’s like an inch of clear SSS between the light and the shadow at most. I know what it’s like to overtune SSS too, just look at my past renders when I first used SSS (the exact time I first introduced my Pear Butter model). How it is now has been significantly tuned down since then, which is another reason why I don’t have an easy time believing it’s still too much.
It is never enooough!!!! :D
I miss Maya now
