I mean… At least she’s not sending ponies to the moon or turning them to stone right?

so I suppose you and I are agreed that it was utter madness to lock her up in tartarus and forget about her, instead of putting her among caring ponies trained to handle her particular breed of madness.

If that’s a euphemism for execution, then sure.

honestly I think cozy glow’s kind of ugly. those cheeks look more like mumps than cuteness. she does a great angry face, but…

starlight glimmer also showed zero remorse for what she did, at the end of the the season 5 finale. cozy doesn’t get a season 10 to endear herself to the fandom, like glimglam did in season 7.

@Background Pony #3F46

unicorn villain master race I think cozy could be an effective villain, if she did the glimmer thing right, and twi & co found themselves helpless to stop her convincing charisma as she won the hearts of equestria and slowly enacted more and more brutal measures to keep others from standing a chance against her. but uh… cozy’s not gonna be pony hitler, for the same reason starlight’s not gonna be pony stalin: the corporation isn’t willing to risk being that offensive. sjws and helicopter parents would eat them alive.

Starlight Glimmer was unaware of the consequences of her actions, when she was shown them she was horrified as she never meant for them, she didn’t know removing Twilight like she did would destroy the world and she showed remorse for her actions.

Tempest did the same, she showed remorse.

It has been shown there are ways to counter Discord, and to be frank Discord has been shown to effectively be a force of nature since if he doesn’t behave as he does he will cease to exist and pretty much only Fluttershy really puts up with him as well as he at least somewhat tries to not be an asshole.

Cozy Glow showed zero remorse for what she did, her response was to declare she was leaving to go and restart the same actions elsewhere but was stopped by the arrival of everyone else before she could escape.

She didn’t care about the suffering she caused and was only upset she had failed in her plans.

Cozy Glow is just a pegasi filly. Without the element of surprise and access to dangerous magical artifacts, there’s nothing she can do.

Equestria is more at risk with characters such as Starlight Glimmer, Tempest Shadow, and Discord around. The last one can even reshape all of reality with the snap of a finger. Yet they took all those risks.

The lengths you’re willing to go to defend a total and complete psychopath bent on destroying the civilization as it is are impressive, but there comes a point where you just need to stop, sit down and think about whether a sad, pouty filly face outweighs the immense suffering of the entire sapient populace of a planet as it plunges to the abyss.

if she is a psychopath, what characterizes psychopaths is a pathological inability to care or even think about the long term consequences to things. for instance, cozy trapped the m6 not to starve them to death, but to trap them. she just didn’t care if that resulted in them starving or not. it probably didn’t even occur to her.

I say if she is a psychopath, because some people are driven to act that way by other trauma or mistakes, but their compassion has only been suppressed, not burned out, so they can still recover enough to live a relatively normal life.

and this is all assuming that cozy glow intended to succeed in the first place, and wasn’t just putting on a huge over the top act in order to earn the trust of tirek. the writers can still salvage this in the finale, if they play their cards right…

honestly we don’t know if it’d result in famine or not. that’s just an assumption based on nothing stated in the show.

I agree. Being a kid shouldn’t be an excuse. She was about to doom Equestria and kill many innocent citizens without any remorse. Plus she even disguised herself among the others, just to plan her evil plans without any suspicion. She’s clearly a psychopath, who deserved what she got.

Okay, people don’t seem to get exactly Cozy Glow knowingly tried to do.

She tricked Twilight and her friends to go to a magic prison they couldn’t escape from, one that hasn’t been shown to have any food or water meaning in all likelihood those in Tartarus are maintained via magic, which means when all the magic was gone there wouldn be nothing maintaining those within Tartrus, so all prisoners would starve to death or died of dehydration. Including Tirek.

Secondary, she trapped Starlight within the Magic that was being stolen, magic she was sending to the Aether, a place that from what we could see through the portal, was a black, empty void, so Starlight was doomed to die of starvation, the same as those in Tartarus, the Student Six were also going to be sent here, 6 other kids she DIDN’T care she was killing.

Secondly, she was sending ALL the magic to this void where no one would ever be able to access it again.

Equestrai is run by magic, they use it to control the weather, grow food, and move the sun and moon.

which means without that magic they cannot make the weather they need

they cannot control what weather has already been made and cannot even access the weather factory since they couldn’t reach or walk on clouds

Euestrai couldn’t grow food because no one knows how to grow food how we do here on earth meaning Equestria was doomed to suffer famine, just look up any famine in history to see how well that goes over as countless people will starve to death while they try to figure out how to grow food.

Lastly the sun and moon would no longer move, they’d be locked in their current position forever since no one could move them.

Cozy Glow knew exactly what she was doing, she was going to commit mass murder on a national level where at the very least half of Equestria would die IF THEY WERE LUCKY.

All so she could be gain power in the ruins of the nation.

She went to Twilights school, heard all the lessons on how to be a good person, how to not be evil, and she still went through with this plan using the lessons she learned to manipulate everyone around them, even creating what was essentially a lynch mob to go after the Student 6 to when they tried to stop her.

These are the actions of a psychopath.

Psychopathy is traditionally a personality disorder characterized by persistent antisocial behavior, impaired empathy and remorse, and bold, disinhibited, and egotistical traits. It is sometimes considered synonymous with sociopathy.

That is the definition of a psychopath and it fits Cozy Glow to a T.

she has no remorse for her actions, is highly manipulative and has a massive ego.

She doesn’t care what she has to do to gain power even if it means she will stand upon the ashes of Equestria to gain that power.

She was a monster in the form of a child and she was sent to the most secure prison for monsters Equestria has alongside Tirek who arguably did LESS then she tried to do.

Her action more then earned her a one way trip to Tartarus and the fact she is a child is people trying to excuse some one who attampted to knowingly commit mass murder.

so uh, they couldn’t have brought about that without her?

I mean if cozy glow knows the song that ends the world or something, then yeah that’s pretty dangerous. otherwise, isn’t she just… along for the ride?

plus if they didn’t dump her in tartarus, would grogar have tried to recruit her at all? I thought he was only going after people twilight sparkle had wronged.

then there’s the fact that if she was in an institution then ponies might notice if she just disappeared. that doesn’t really have to do with her dangerousness, but I’m really not seeing much of any dangerousness at all. keep her away from collections of powerful ancient artifacts, stop letting tirek groom her, and try in vain to fix what twilight’s school of friendship did to her, and she should be perfectly harmless, right?

I mean maybe she’s a biter but
Durabiznik

uh… how dangerous is she?

After her attempt to take over the world failed, she teamed up with supervillains to bring about a literal extinction event. On a scale from 1 to 10, she’s about 14. But noooo, sending her to an underground prison is terrible because she’s just a kid, right?

Sending a kid to Tartarus is too much honestly. A correctional facility would have been better.
