Just recently I posted a status asking you guys for Luna ships, as much as I kinda was wondering what were your Luna OTPs and such (I kinda wanted to explore different ships to use on my canon NG) but that was also to kinda see if you guys could check one of my biggest Luna OTPs of ALL
 
And as you might have noticed for the bluebirds up there, yas Night GliderXLuna is just my goddamn weakness HNNGG
 
The backstory between them is that Night Glider is part of the night guard, she’s a fierce and fearless soldier and has taken part in many battles and always proudly came home victorious. Night Glider was brave and strong and she hardly hesitated against danger. She has a wife and a child which she deeply loves, they were the world to her and they were the main reason Nigh Glider was the way she was, she wanted to be strong to protect them. But eventually, they both tragically die in an unfortunate accident while Night Glider was away on duty.
 
Night Glider is devastated. She had lost what was most important to her. She felt worthless that she couldn’t protect her precious family. She can’t stand to be home, reminding herself of everything she had lost. It’s just not home anymore. She has nightmares and spends countless nights anxiously awake, sleepless. She begins spending more and more time at the royal guard headquarters, avoiding to go home, and her performance on her guard training and overall job eventually drops.
 
Queen Luna, who likes to personally oversee the training of the night guard and every now and then give her lieutenants a demonstration, spots the miserable mare and her disastrous performance. She knew Night Glider very well, she was one of her best guards, there had to be something wrong with her.
 
After hearing what happened, in an act of kindness, Luna offers Night Glider a room at the castle, so she didn’t need to go back to her house. Every now and then, Luna visits Night Glider’s dreams and eases her sleep at night minimizing her nightmares. Eventually, the two of them grow closer over understanding the deep grief and shared feeling of loosing their loved ones (I assume Luna must have lost countless of lovers, friends due to her lifespan).
 
Although this might or might not be canon on my canon NGverse, I simply ADORE these two together <3
